Birgitte Borup is an accomplished journalist with over 15 years of experience in various editorial roles within print, digital, and television media. Currently serving as Kulturredaktør and redaktionschef at Berlingske since September 2018, Birgitte leads Denmark's premier culture editorial team and provides commentary on the USA, focusing on the intersection of culture, society, and politics. Additionally, since October 2019, Birgitte has been involved with Athenas Danmark as a foredragsholder and moderator, delivering lectures on contemporary issues related to the USA. Past roles include managing editor for TV2/Nyhederne and DR's talk show Aftenshowet, as well as various editorial positions at DR and TV2/Nord. Birgitte holds a journalist degree from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole and a bachelor's degree in Danish language and literature from Aalborg University.
