Lars Michael Mortensen is currently the Section Chief in Strategy and Development at the Danish Emergency Management Agency and serves as the Chairperson for the emergency officers at the Central Organization of Officers in Denmark (HOD). Lars has held various leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at multiple divisions within the agency from 1996 to 2021, overseeing areas such as emergency management, IT, and course development. Lars's educational background includes degrees in Management Science and Labour Market Policy from Aalborg University, and extensive training in emergency management and leadership. Prior to their tenure at the Danish Emergency Management Agency, Lars worked as an office and economic assistant at De Forenede Bryggerier A/S from 1989 to 1991.
