Luís Eduardo Abatti, PhD, is a Senior Data Extraction Scientist at BenchSci since September 2023, where significant contributions include co-developing categories within a machine learning model and prioritizing internal data processing development. Previously, at the University of Toronto's Department of Cell and Systems Biology, Abatti led a bioinformatics initiative on nuclear TULP3 and established processing pipelines for extensive cancer datasets, demonstrating expertise in Python and high-throughput sequencing analysis. Teaching experience includes presenting complex biological concepts to undergraduate students and creating educational content for remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abatti holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
