Sophie Healy-Thow is an accomplished professional specializing in food systems and international development. Currently serving as the Food Systems Coordinator at Belfast City Council since December 2025, Sophie has held multiple influential roles, including Advisory Board Member at EAT and Founder of Act4Food. As a Lead Group Member of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement and a Partnerships and Engagement Officer at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), Sophie has significantly contributed to global efforts aimed at improving nutrition. Additionally, Sophie has served on the Board of Directors for the Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) and as a Board Trustee for ActionAid. Education includes a BSc in International Development and Food Policy from University College Cork and ongoing studies for an MSc in Food Policy at City St George’s, University of London.
