Simon Joynes is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in translating environmental law into practical, client-focused solutions. Currently serving as the Head of Regulatory Services and Community Protection at Bedford Borough Council, Simon leads initiatives that balance community well-being and sustainable development. They co-founded Joynes Nash, a multidisciplinary consultancy, and have held various roles, including Director at ASP Environmental and Enscape Ltd. Simon has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. Their educational background includes a Master's in Contaminated Land Remediation and a degree in Environmental Health.
