Jason Cooper is a Principal Test System Design Engineer at BD, specializing in Advanced Patient Monitoring. Currently involved in research and development work for the Critical Care Value Engineering team at Edwards Lifesciences, Jason focuses on re-engineering medical devices to incorporate new technologies and reduce operational costs. They earned a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in December 2019 and were part of the inaugural Duke Design Health Fellowship, addressing unmet needs in healthcare. Previously, Jason worked in the Digital Health industry at Epic Systems, where they managed a team and provided technical solutions for various hospital systems. In addition to their engineering expertise, they have a background in research, having contributed to projects at the Optical Coherence Imaging Laboratory and the National Institutes of Health.
