Alex Cunliffe is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in infrastructure and contract law. Currently serving as Principal Counsel and Head of Legal for Infrastructure at Bechtel Corporation since October 2021, Alex has held various prominent legal roles including Head of Legal Contracts at Laing O'Rourke from April 2017 to April 2021, and Senior Counsel at Bechtel from January 2012 to April 2017. Earlier in the career, Alex was a Partner at Ashurst LLP from 2008 to 2011, following an initial role as Assistant at the same firm from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, roles included Assistant at CMS Cameron McKenna and Associate at White & Case. Alex holds a BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford, obtained in 1996.
