Jose Antonio Ortiz Portero, CFA, has extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in fixed income sales and relationship management. At BBVA from January 2014 to January 2017, Jose served as Senior Executive Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales for Insurance Companies, as well as a Senior Banker at BBVA Frankfurt, where responsibilities included managing global relationships with German corporates. Prior roles include Managing Director positions in Fixed Income Derivatives and Solutions for Insurance Companies. Early career experience includes an assistant role at Daimler and a traineeship in the Purchasing Department at IBM. Jose holds a CFA designation and several degrees, including a BA Honours in Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master in Finance and Corporate Banking from Escuela de Finanzas BBVA.
