George Achi is an experienced media professional with a robust background in journalism and editorial management. From 2007 to 2016, George worked as a Reporter, Editor, and Producer at L'Orient-Le Jour, Arte, CJFO-FM, and La Presse. George then served as National and World Producer and Senior Producer at the Toronto Star from April 2015 to April 2016. Since December 2021, George has held the position of Senior Director of Journalistic Standards and Public Trust at CBC News, along with serving as Managing Editor of RC Toronto. As of March 2025, George has taken the role of Head of Editorial Quality and Standards at BBC World Service.
