Heiko Brandt is currently the Energy and Sustainability Manager at Bayer, where they identify and implement reduction opportunities for energy, CO2 emissions, and waste, focusing on both mechanical and process-related improvements. They have served as a Plant Engineer and Technology Expert, specializing in dynamic simulation, advanced process control, and multivariate data analysis with an emphasis on energy efficiency. Heiko was previously a member and leader in Working Group 2.2 at NAMUR e.V., and worked as a Junior Researcher at Technische Universität Dortmund, where they focused on modeling and optimizing emulsion polymerization processes. They hold a Diplom-Ingenieur in Chemical Engineering and a doctorate from Technische Universität Dortmund, as well as a degree from Lehigh University.
