Hannah Ellwood is an experienced corporate governance professional, currently serving as the Interim Group Company Secretary at Barclays since October 2018. Prior to this role, Hannah worked as the Deputy Company Secretary at Barclays from January 2016 to 2018, and as the Director of Barclays Corporate Secretariat from September 2012 to December 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief of Staff to the Global General Counsel at Clifford Chance LLP from September 2000 to September 2012, and as a Senior Associate in the Corporate Practice at the same firm. Hannah began her career as a Parliamentary Research Assistant at the House of Commons from September 1997 to September 2000. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, both earned at the London College of Law between 1998 and 2000.
