Derek Hemsley is currently the Cyber Security Detection Engineering Associate Director at Banner Health, a role held since 2022. Previously, they worked as an Information Security Engineer at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2019 to 2022, where they oversaw the SIEM platform and integrated various security systems. Earlier in their career, Derek served as an Identity Management Team Leader and an Identity Systems Engineer, gaining extensive experience in managing teams and security tools. They hold an Associate’s Degree in Science from Weber State University, earned between 2011 and 2014.
