Ala Marar is a Senior Economic Analyst at the Bank of England, where they drive economic modeling to support policymakers and manage the development of regulatory tools. They previously held various roles at the Bank, including Lead Policy Analyst, where they led quantitative analysis for the Basel 3.1 project and co-authored a bank publication. Ala gained initial experience as an intern at Triad Live Productions and has also worked at PwC and Cairo Amman Bank. They hold a Master’s degree in Financial Regulation and Central Banking from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Reading.
