Stefan Hummel is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechatronics, product development, and research. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Mechatronics at Badger Meter since May 2024, Stefan's prior roles include Head of R&D at GETec Microscopy, where responsibilities encompassed leading an R&D team and managing international projects for high-end atomic force microscopy solutions. Stefan also worked as Product Owner at s::can GmbH, focusing on optical sensors for water quality monitoring. Other notable positions include Research Engineer roles at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and FOTEC Forschungs und Technologietransfer GmbH, alongside experience as a Software Developer at X-PIN and Teaching Assistant at Vienna University of Technology.
