Created in 2006 and present in more than 60 countries, the B Corp movement brings together a community of more than 3000 companies as well as experts and supporters from civil society.

This movement seeks to transform the economy by demonstrating that it is possible for a company to make a positive contribution to society and the environment (one of B Corp's slogans is "using business as a force for good"​).

It also tries to demonstrate, through the achievements of the B Corp community, that it is possible to reconcile the profit motive (for profit) and the collective interest (for purpose).
 
Almost 100 companies are currently certified B Corp in France. They come from the entire economic fabric (ESS, SCOP, TPE, PME, ETI, CAC 40 and French subsidiaries of foreign groups). This community, which has been present in France since 2015, is very active and expanding.
