Desde 1903 extraemos el azúcar de la remolacha azucarera que producen nuestros casi 4.000 agricultores de Castilla y León, Andalucía, La Rioja, País Vasco y Navarra. Es un cultivo tradicional de explotaciones familiares que pasan de generación en generación. Las zonas de producción remolacheras suponen una importante base económica y contribuyen a la fijación de la población en el medio rural. También importamos azúcar de caña “en crudo” que refinamos en nuestros centros.

La investigación y la innovación son aspectos fundamentales para Azucarera y nos permiten ir más allá y crear otros productos e ingredientes funcionales para alimentación humana y animal, fertilizantes y productos para la agricultura y la industria. Además, durante el proceso de extracción del azúcar generamos energía eléctrica y vapor de agua que sirven para autoabastecernos.
