Pia Merrick is an experienced professional in the wine industry with over 20 years of expertise. Currently, they serve as the Head Winemaker at Australian Vintage's Buronga Hill Winery, a position they have held since 2024. Pia has previously worked in various roles including Senior White Winemaker at Qualia Wine Services Pty. Ltd. from 2019 to 2024, and Winemaker at Robert Oatley Vineyards from 2013 to 2019. Their early career included positions as a Laboratory Technician at both Flametree Wines and Chateau Carsin in 2000, as well as time spent as a Wine Consultant. Pia holds a Higher Certificate of Wine and Spirit from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
