Ryan Smith currently serves as the Director of Operations at Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC since October 2025. Prior to this role, Ryan held the position of Director of Business Development at Shorb Landscaping, Inc. from February 2023 to October 2025 and served as Regional Sales Leader at BrightView Landscapes from August 2012 to February 2023, where leadership of a business development team in Virginia was a key responsibility. Earlier experience includes roles as Branch Manager, Associate Branch Manager, and Account Manager at The Brickman Group, with a focus on managing accounts and client relations in Downtown Chicago, as well as serving as Operations Manager responsible for logistics and material purchasing. Ryan began the professional career as a Land Planner at Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Maryland, obtained between 2004 and 2007.
