Thomas Kessler is currently the Principal Disaster Risk Insurance & Finance Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where they implement risk transfer instruments to enhance financial solutions for disaster risk and sustainable infrastructure projects in Asia. Previously, they held the role of Director at Swiss Re, where they developed the domestic commercial credit re-insurance market in Japan and worked on a credit portfolio capital modelling tool in New York. Kessler also served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation from 2012 to 2015.
