Austin Schnurlein is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Controller at Ashley Capital since March 2022. Prior to this role, Austin gained extensive accounting experience at Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors, where positions included Senior Corporate Accountant and Corporate Accountant, starting in September 2017. Additional accounting experience includes a role as an Accounting & External Reporting Intern. Earlier in Austin's career, roles such as 3D Specialist at Ajax Paving Industries, Inc. and Mathematics Teacher at Clawson Public Schools contributed to a diverse professional background that began in education as a Middle School Teacher at Chicago Public Schools. Austin holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Walsh College and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Roosevelt University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
