Fergus Gifford is a Managing Director at Arrow Shipping & Energy, with over twelve years of experience at Arrow Shipbroking Group, where they advanced to the role of Director, focusing on newbuilding and sale and purchase projects. Fergus began their career as a Ship Broker and gained international experience, having worked in London and Hong Kong before relocating to Japan, where they have lived since 2019. Proficient in Japanese, they have cultivated strong relationships within the Japanese market and are passionate about collaborating with the global shipping community. Fergus also served as a Ward Team Leader and Assistant Language Teacher with the JET Programme, where they supported and led a team of English teachers. They obtained a Master's degree in Japanese from The University of Edinburgh and participated in an exchange program at Sophia University, studying Japanese Language and Literature.
