Derek Li has worked for a number of companies since 2014. Derek began their career as a Receptionist and Coach for Hillsborough Tennis Plus in 2014. In 2017, they worked as a Business Intern for Exeq. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern for Brightech International. In 2020, they held two roles, Machine Learning Intern and Software Engineer Intern, for Capital One. In 2021, they were a Software Development Intern for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Derek is currently employed as a Software Engineer for Aquatic Capital Management.
Derek Li is currently a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to this, they attended Hillsborough High School from 2013 to 2017.
