David Xu is the Senior Director of Technology and Operations at Applied Materials, where they have been since 2024. With over 15 years of experience in technical innovation and business development, they previously held roles at Applied Materials as Director of Product/Platform Development and at Momentive Technologies as Global Business Director. They also served as Global Applications Leader at Momentive Performance Materials, where they led a global team in applications development for high-tech industries. David earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds an M.S. in Physics and a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Tsinghua University.
