Jake Brock has a diverse background in computer science and physics, with experience in various prestigious organizations such as NOAA, MathWorks, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Apple. Initially focusing on data collection programming for weather monitoring towers, Jake later contributed to numerical modeling of plasmas and experimental geophysics. As a PhD student, Jake solved complex problems related to cache and memory management, while also holding intern positions that optimized compiler performance at companies like MathWorks and Huawei Technologies. In subsequent roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Micron Technology, Jake specialized in storage systems software and machine learning compiler infrastructure. Jake holds multiple degrees from the University of Rochester, including a Master of Arts in Physics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from Eckerd College.
