Brandon Coughlin, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Global Medical Affairs Strategy & Evidence Generation in Ophthalmology at Apellis Pharmaceuticals, focusing on Geographic Atrophy. Previously, Brandon held the position of Director of Medical Affairs at Alimera Sciences, where significant achievements included enhancing scientific communication strategies for the ILUVIEN product and supporting real-world evidence analysis that led to numerous manuscript submissions. Brandon's earlier roles at Alimera included Associate Director of Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaison, where responsibilities entailed developing medical content, training commercial teams, and fostering relationships with key opinion leaders.
