John Parente is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Science Officer of the Life Science Practice at Aon, a position held since 2021. Prior to this role, they served as Chief Innovation Officer at Lexington Insurance Company and were an AVP of Life Sciences at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance from 2014 to 2021. Their career also includes experience as a Senior Science Officer at Lexington Insurance, a Key Account Manager at QIAGEN, and a Staff Scientist at Genzyme. John completed a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at The University of Georgia and holds a BS in Biochemistry and Nutrition from the University of Vermont. They began their professional journey as a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Medical College of Georgia from 1994 to 1998.
