Matt Cronin is currently the Senior National Security Advisor (Law & Policy) at Andreessen Horowitz and has previously served as the Director of National Cybersecurity at the Office of the National Cyber Director in the White House. From 2013 to 2023, Cronin coordinated national security and cyber crime efforts at the U.S. Department of Justice, specializing in various cyber-related issues, including cryptocurrencies and transnational drug trafficking. During their tenure as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Cronin focused on prosecuting complex cyber-based crimes and received multiple national awards for outstanding investigations. Additionally, they held associate roles at Latham & Watkins and Cohen & Gresser LLP and were a Fulbright Scholar in 2023, teaching and lecturing on cybersecurity and the rule of law.
