Joel Bertomeu is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in digital design and system solutions, specializing in CMOS X-ray imaging technology. As a Principal Engineer at ams OSRAM from July 2022 to November 2023, Joel led the development of large-scale CMOS sensors for medical and industrial applications, leveraging market insights and technological capabilities. Previously, Joel held positions at ON Semiconductor and Analog Devices Inc, where significant contributions were made to digital design projects for high-end microprocessors. Over a span of 14 years at ams AG, Joel advanced from Junior to Principal Digital Design Engineer, playing a pivotal role in establishing the Valencia Design Center and completing numerous successful designs. Joel holds multiple engineering degrees, including a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Communications Engineering and a Master of Science in Physics, alongside specialized training in machine learning from Stanford University.
