Emily Gardel is the Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property & Litigation at Amgen, focusing on patent prosecution at the intersection of electronic devices, software, and biotechnology. They have significant experience advising clients on IP strategy, including prosecution, due diligence, and freedom-to-operate matters for a range of organizations from start-ups to multinational companies. Previously, Emily held positions at Dyno Therapeutics and Wolf Greenfield and contributed to academic research at Harvard University, where they earned a PhD in Applied Physics. They have also worked as a teaching fellow and engaged in initiatives to support women in science and engineering. Emily is currently pursuing further education at Suffolk University Law School.
