Alec Hewitt is a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services, specializing in Renewable Energy Optimization since 2022. Prior to this role, Alec contributed to the Amazon Fulfillment Technology team and has extensive experience as a software engineer at Solar Analytics, where they focused on energy data analysis. They also held significant positions at Immerse Learning, developing virtual reality educational experiences, and founded Braintin, a language learning marketplace. Alec earned a BA with Honours in Architecture from The University of Sheffield and a Distinction in MSc Computing from Cardiff University, and has participated in an ERASMUS program in Bucharest. In their free time, Alec enjoys building React applications, writing machine learning models, and cycling.
