Carla Hannemann is the Managing Partner of Alvarez & Marsal Canada Law and serves as Managing Director and Joint Head of Tax at Alvarez & Marsal Canada. An experienced corporate tax lawyer, they have a notable history of developing innovative tax solutions for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations. Previously, Carla held various roles, including Partner in M&A Tax Services at KPMG Canada and worked as a lawyer at Stikeman Elliott LLP after completing their clerkship at the Tax Court of Canada. Carla earned a Bachelor of Commerce and an LLB from the University of Alberta and the University of Windsor, respectively, and is known for their excellence in the field, having received multiple awards for academic achievement.
