The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York) is a community-based organization dedicated to improving lives impacted by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. For 35 years the agency has modeled client-centered care and provided skills to help those we serve make informed decisions. 

The Alliance for Positive Health is the preeminent provider of AIDS services in a seventeen county region in Upstate New York with offices in Albany, Hudson Falls, Hudson, Plattsburgh, and Schenectady. 

We work with individuals who face barriers to accessing health care and social services and strive to reduce health disparities. Our clients'​ diagnoses are often complicated by stigma, addiction, poverty, homelessness, incarceration or mental illness – and these are the factors which also place them at risk of infection with HIV, Hepatitis C, and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

The Program Services Team at the Alliance for Positive Health is dedicated to delivering comprehensive support to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. This team coordinates a variety of services, including case management, health education, and housing assistance, while addressing the unique barriers faced by clients, such as stigma, poverty, and mental health issues. Through a client-centered approach, they empower individuals to make informed health decisions and enhance their overall well-being.
