Michael Morris is currently the Head of Genetics at SYNLAB International and has extensive experience in clinical molecular genetics, including specialties in next-generation sequencing, pharmacogenetics, and oncogenetics testing. They served as the Director of Genetics at SYNLAB Switzerland from 2013 to 2023 and were an Affiliate at the University of Geneva from 1988 to 2012. Additionally, they have held various roles in prominent organizations, including as a member of the Scientific and Strategic Advisory Board for the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network since 2022 and as a board member for the CSCQ from 2008 to 2013. They are an alumnus of the University of Oxford, where they completed their studies from 1981 to 1988.
