La Asociación Latinoamericana de Seguridad,  ALAS, fue fundada en 1997 con el objetivo principal de convertirse en la entidad que agrupe a las empresas y profesionales de seguridad electrónica para realizar una actividad colectiva estable y con proyección al futuro, con objetivos y actividades comunes en toda la región.

ALAS reúne la voz de la Industria Latinoamericana de Seguridad Electrónica y busca lograr metas comunes de educación, capacitación, representatividad, estandarización y adecuación tecnológica que permita a sus socios afianzarse en el mercado y servir mejor a sus clientes.

Para la Asociación es primordial fomentar la educación en la industria mediante sus diversos y amplios cursos de certificación y así elevar el nivel de profesionalismo en las empresas.
