George McGahran began their survey career in Florida in 2019 and is currently a Terrestrial Laser Scanning Lead and Survey Technician at AKS Engineering & Forestry, a role they have held since 2024. Previously, they served as a Survey Crew Leader at the same company and gained experience as an Instrument Operator at Hyatt Survey from 2019 to 2020. George also has a background in environmental science from their time as an Environmental Scientist at J Foster Consulting LLC and has held various positions including Environmental Intern and Undergraduate Research Assistant. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of South Florida in 2016.
