Diogo Sousa is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as the Propulsion Maturity and V&V Lead for Zero Emission Aircraft and previously as the Zephyr Propulsion Lead and Systems Engineer at Airbus since December 2017. Notably involved in the Zephyr project, a leading solar-powered stratospheric aircraft, Diogo has contributed to significant team achievements and multiple world records. Prior experience includes positions as a Junior Systems Engineer at LEITEK Innovative Solutions and as a researcher in aircraft design at prestigious institutions like Cranfield University and Universidade da Beira Interior, focusing on innovative technologies such as liquid hydrogen integration and morphing aircraft wings. Diogo holds an Integrated Master in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior.
