Yan Zhang is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb, with a focus on AI and ML infrastructure. With 14 years of experience at Microsoft Bing Search, Yan contributed to virtually every major component of the search stack and managed development teams for seven years. Prior to this, Yan worked as an SDEII at Amazon from 2005 to 2008 and held several positions at Microsoft, including Senior SDE and Principal Software Engineer Manager. Yan earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Montreal in Canada.
