Ian Paterson is a Senior Strategic Media and Communications professional with over a decade of experience in journalism, public affairs, and government relations. Previously, they served as a Senior Media Adviser to the Premier of New South Wales, where they managed crisis communications and led media strategies for significant governmental projects including the COVID health response and the NSW Budget. Ian has also worked as a journalist for various publications and held senior communications roles within government, showcasing expertise across digital, print, and social media platforms. Currently, Ian is the Senior Corporate and Policy Communications Manager for Airbnb in Australia and New Zealand. They hold a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Sydney University.
