Liz Freedman is the Vice President of Legal Affairs, Corporate Secretary, and General Counsel at Air Liquide, overseeing legal matters since 2023. Having previously held roles as Senior Legal Counsel and Assistant General Counsel at Air Liquide Canada from 2011 to 2013, they also worked as a Consultant and Legal Counsel for Rio Tinto Alcan Inc. and Alcan from 2003 to 2009. Earlier in their career, Freedman served as a stagiaire at McCarthy Tetrault in 1998. They earned a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Civil Law and LL.B. from McGill University between 1989 and 1997. Currently, Freedman is the VP Legal for Canada & Commercial Law at Airgas since 2024.
