Kim Pimmel is a seasoned futurist and inventor, currently imagining the future of imaging through experimental camera concepts and volumetric display systems since 2015. With experience as a Senior Design Lead at Microsoft, Pimmel contributed to the HoloLens OS design, mixed reality workplace tools, and the evolution of Windows file management. At Adobe, roles include Senior Product Design Lead for Augmented Reality and Senior AI Design Lead in Video & Audio, defining immersive user experiences. Prior design experience covers positions at United Way of the Bay Area and Media Venture Partners, alongside freelance filmmaking that merges abstract storytelling with analog visual effects and AI-generated art. Pimmel holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
