Michael Dicker is a mechanical engineer with a PhD in Advanced Composites, specializing in actuators, artificial muscles, and multifunctional materials. They are the co-founder and CTO of Actuation Lab, where they have been since 2018. Previously, Michael held various roles at BlueScope Steel, including Mechanical Engineering Cadet, and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for BHP Billiton, focusing on plant reliability. Their academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wollongong and an Early Career Fellowship at the University of Bristol.
