Wolfgang Schwabl is a seasoned professional in the field of information security, currently serving as Chief Security Officer and Cyber Security Officer at A1 Telekom Austria AG since October 2015. Previously, Wolfgang held the position of Group Director for Information Security & Emergency at Telekom Austria Group from August 2010 to September 2015, and served as Bereichsleiter at mobilkom austria for 14 years. Early career experience includes roles as a System Specialist and Consultant at Digital Equipment Österreich AG, and a University Assistant at the Vienna University of Technology, where Wolfgang focused on practical computer science. Wolfgang's educational background includes a Dr. techn. and Dipl.-Ing. in Informatik from Technische Universität Wien, complemented by a training stint at CERN in 1983.
