Dr. James Freeman is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in social work and academia. Currently serving as Chief Program Officer at A Second Chance, Inc. since November 2021, Dr. Freeman also contributes to Johnson C. Smith University as an Associate Professor, where involvement includes the development of the institution's first graduate and inaugural MSW programs. Past roles include Member of the Council on Social Work Education, Associate Director at NCA, and Family Preservation Chair for the National Association of Black Social Workers.
