December was a packed month for executive and board moves in tech, as companies wind down from a turbulent 2020, and prepare for what will likely be an even busier 2021 for the industry.

Executive moves:

Google appointed AstraZeneca executive Fiona Cicconi as its new Head of People Operations, replacing Eileen Naughton, who is stepping down.

YouTube promoted Laurie Davison to head its TV and film operations for EMEA. Davison previously worked at Deutsche Bank and in the media and entertainment sectors.

Coinbase appointed former LinkedIn M&A Executive Emilie Choi as its COO.

Roku hired Brian Pinkerton as SVP of Product Development. He was previously Apple’s Siri architect.

GoFundMe hired Juan Benitez as President. Previously, Benitez served as GM of Braintree.

BitPay hired Jagruti Solanki as CFO and Shaun Worley as VP of Product. Solanki joins from Aprio and Worley joins from Swivel. -

ServiceNow hired John Ball as SVP and GM of Customer Workflow. He previously served as the EVP and GM of Salesforce’s Einstein AI platform.

Visa’s Chief Marketing Officer for Asia, Frederique Covington Corbett, was promoted to SVP of Global Brand Strategy & Planning.

Viamedia promoted David Solomon from Chief Revenue Officer to President and CEO. He succeeded Mark Lieberman who remains on Viamedia’s board. -

Experity hired Brian Wilson as its first Chief Customer Officer. Wilson previously served as VP of Customer Success at Ascentis.

Equifax hired Sue Hutchison as its Canada Region President. She previously worked at Ascentis.

LeaseLock appointed Oliver Gratry as CFO. He previously served as Head of Finance at Facebook Financial (F2).

One Inc named Paul Schmidt as its CFO. He previously served as a CFO at Motif and Microsoft.

Stitch Fix hired Dan Jedda as CFO. He previously served as CFO of Amazon’s digital video and music division.

Massachusetts Biotechnology Council CEO and President Robert Coughlin announced plans to step down in the new year.

Intrusion hired Vittal Krishnamurthy as the VP of Product and Martin Koren as VP of Business Development.

Unity Biotech Co-Founder, Nathaniel E. David, stepped down from the management team but remained on the board, and Gilmore O’Neil of Sarepta Therapeutics joined the board.

Ceridian appointed Eric Glass as Chief Communications Officer. He previously worserved as VP, Customer Advocacy at Workday.

Aktana hired Dmitri Daveynis as CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering, and Manny Triggiano as SVP of Professional Services. Daveynis joined from Verint where he served as VP of Engineering and Triggiano joins from Theorem where he was COO.

SolarWinds named Pulse Secure CEO Sudhakar Ramakrishna as its new CEO. Current President and CEO Kevin Thompson is stepping down.

Iovance Biotherapeutics announced the appointment of Jean-Marc Bellemin as CFO. He previously served as CFO at Gritstone Oncology.

Thumbtack hired Melanie Margolin as Chief Legal Officer. She joined from Wabash National where she was SVP and General Counsel.

Vodafone UK CEO Nick Jeffery announced he is stepping down. Group Chief Commercial Operations and Strategy Officer, Ahmed Essam will succeed him. Jeffery will join Frontier Communications as president and CEO, taking over from Bernie Han on March 1. and

3Gtms hired Paul Brady as CEO, replacing Founder Mitchell Weseley who will remain on the board of directors.

CUBE appointed Steve Pool as CFO. He previously served as CFO for EMEA and APJ at Symantec (Broadcom), and Pedro Pereiro as Chief Services Officer, previously a Director at EY.

ZebiAI hired Rafa Gomez-Bombarelli as Chief Learning Officer.

V2Solutions hired Amit Kachroo as Chief Revenue Officer.

Teradata appointed Todd Cione as Chief Revenue Officer.

Rovio announced the promotion of Alexandre Pelletier-Normand to CEO of Entertainment.

Spread Group announced Dr. Julian de Grahl will become its new CEO as of April 1st, 2021.

Lodasoft hired Scott Gabel as VP of Sales.

Board Moves:

Klarna appointed Michael Moritz, partner at Sequoia Capital, as Chairman.

Snap appointed Liz Jenkins, CFO of Hello Sunshine, to its board.

Netflix appointed Strive Masiyiwa, Chairman and founder of Econet Group, to its board.

DocuSign appointed Gateway Health Plan President and CEO Cain Hayes to its board.

Chegg appointed Sarah Bond, Corporate Vice President of Gaming Ecosystem at Microsoft, to its Board.

Amperity appointed Starbucks’ CEO Kevin Johnson to its Board.

Biome Analytics appoints Jim Andrews, SVP of cardiac and neurological services of RWJBarnabas Health to its Board.

AIS appointed Letitia A. Long to its Board.

Roku appointed Laurie Simon Hodrick and Gina Luna to its board.

SEMrush added TripAdvisor and Ally board member Trynka Shineman to its Board.

TechData appointed Nayaki Nayyar, EVP and Chief Product Officer at Ivanti and Tod Nielsen, former President and CEO of FinancialForce to its board.
