Starting April 26, Paramount Pictures has a new SVP of Production, Mika Pryce.
She reports to Daria Cercek and Michael Ireland who serve as the Co-Presidents of the studioās motion picture group. The duo Pryce as an executive who has, āfantastic talent relationships, excellent taste, and knows how to build a movie from the ground up.ā
Cercek and Ireland added, āWeāre excited to have her bring her entrepreneurial skill set to the studio to help us tell great stories for global audiences. She is the perfect addition to our team.ā
To begin her new position at Paramount, Pryce left behind her role as Head of Development at This Radicle Act Productions, a production company owned by Don Cheadle. Pryce has also worked as an executive at Universal Pictures where she helped create blockbusters, like āGet Outā and āPacific Rim 2,ā and served as an executive at Red Granite Pictures. The USC graduate also spent time at Evolution Media Capital, Lionsgate International, and Langley Park Pictures.
Pryce joins the ViacomCBS-owned studio at a time when the entertainment industry is looking to rebound from the effects of COVID-19, which has kept moviegoers at home and delayed premiers. To help fend off the rise of streaming services and reach audiences in their homes, ViacomCBS Paramount+ in March 2021.
